ABOUT
After serving as a US Marine in the first Gulf War and receiving the Navy Achievement Medal, Stephen Schaub went on to graduate from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Photographic Arts and Sciences.
He is the author of two collections of his artworks: A Sense of Place (1999) and Through a Glass Darkly (2004). Schaub’s artwork has been featured in numerous publications and shows both at home and abroad, including the showing of “Through a Glass Darkly” in Paris in 2004.
In 2007 he co-authored a book on the state of contemporary photographic practice: The Figital Revolution Manifesto. Between 2007 and 2011 he created and led the ground-breaking website Figital Revolution, which promoted the combination of digital and film-shooting techniques.
Schaub's artwork is included in many private collections including the Polaroid Collection. Between 2005 and 2009 he was one of Polaroid's 10 Featured Artists.
